Project Goal: Implement SEO strategy for a Long Island interior designer

Challenges and Goals

Claudia originally inquired about copywriting services for a series of blog posts to help with her search rankings and to optimize her existing copy for SEO. Before we even got on our call, we suggested she consider hiring an SEO consultant first. Having gone through SEO training, we know first-hand how beneficial these services can be; we’re also familiar with implementing SEO strategy.

Claudia interviewed multiple copywriters but ultimately decided that we were the best fit. She also took our suggestion to employ the help of Love @ First Search. Once she received her customized SEO strategy, we reconnected and set up a plan to implement.  

The initial scope of work included updating her existing homepage and crafting new copy for her various design services with a goal of incorporating the target keywords provided by the Love @ First Search team. We created a customized questionnaire to establish her voice and capture the information we would need to craft her updated copy. On our call, we created an outline and fleshed out the remaining details. Two weeks later, we delivered the first draft of her newly revised copy. At our next meeting, we refined the copy to make it more impactful and on-brand. 

Once Claudia had submitted the new copy to her website designer for implementation, she decided that her about page was “in need of a makeover” and asked what kind of “intervention” we would recommend. Claudia has a way with words and is a natural storyteller in her own right, so after reviewing her existing copy, we suggested that we tackle the edits to her about page in a Brainstorming Session. In this format, the client submits their goals and content beforehand, we review it, prepare suggestions, and make the changes together over Zoom in a live-workshopping format. Since Claudia had enjoyed that aspect of the process the first time around, she was excited to work this way again.

We set out to create an About page that would complement the information on the rest of the site while letting prospective clients know exactly what makes “The Grunberger Difference.”

How Our Service Helped

The Brainstorming Session was a success. In just two and a half hours’ time we restructured and revised Claudia’s About page to reflect her nuanced approach to luxury interiors. 

Results

Claudia now feels that the copy on her about page reflects her true identity, which will compel right-fit clients to connect with her while deterring incompatible prospects.

Future Plans

Having worked together to capture Claudia’s voice for her homepage and services copy, the switch to the live workshop format was a natural transition. Having rewritten most of her website copy, we can continue to tackle smaller projects like project descriptions, and long-form content in individual brainstorming sessions as her schedule and budget allow.
